About
Hi, I’m Anusha Ivaturi, a multi-media artist passionate about capturing the beauty and vastness of the cosmos in vivid, dynamic artwork.
Growing up in Visakhapatnam, a coastal city in India with serene beaches, I developed a deep connection to the ocean. Its calming waves were my refuge, just like the infinite beauty of the cosmos, which has always fascinated me.
My unplanned journey into art began during one of the most challenging times in my life. While studying architecture, I was diagnosed with vitiligo, a condition that left me physically and emotionally drained. The stress and societal judgments became overwhelming with time. I eventually moved to Bangalore to continue my studies and seek better treatment, but it was through this struggle that I found solace in art.
What started as simple hand lettering grew into a passion for space-inspired paintings. Galaxies, nebulae, and cosmic wonders became my escape and a way to find perspective in the midst of my struggles. As I shared my art online, I initially faced hurtful comments about my skin, but soon realized that by embracing my uniqueness, I was inspiring others to do the same.
Through the support of my parents and my husband, Swayam, I gained the confidence to share my story. Today, my art reflects that journey—bold, vibrant, and filled with cosmic wonder. I hope my work brings a sense of calm and inspiration, whether it’s on your social media feed or hanging in your home.
Currently, I live in Canada with Swayam and our fur baby, Muffin. After moving here in early 2024 and dealing with the loss of my mom, I’ve rediscovered my passion for art and continue to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time artist. Through my work, I hope to connect with others, embrace uniqueness, and celebrate the beauty of our own stories.
Thank you for supporting my journey. Here, you’ll find my latest creations, prints, and stationery.
